Margaret Mary Hicks' Obituary
Margaret Mary Hicks, age 96, passed away Monday, December 24, 2018. She was born January 1, 1922 in Muskegon to William and Lydia (Schertenlieb) Faucher. On December 28, 1940, she married Wilson Hicks in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on January 26, 1986. She worked over 25 years as a medical records clerk and retired in 2012. She was a former member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Spring Lake. She enjoyed baking and her son, Tim, said she was a great mother and great cook and Sally lived with her for her last 26 years and was with her at her time of death. SURVIVORS include 6 children, Jarrett L. Hicks of Glen Burnie, MD, Rosemary S. (Kenneth) Baunach of Bardstown, KY, Timothy L. (Thelma) Hicks of Pharr, TX, Christie A. (Jose) Barajas of Roebuck, SC, Brian W. Hicks of Kendalville, IN, Sally J. Lisemby of Muskegon; 2 generations of grandchildren; and one brother, Robert J. (Barbara) Faucher of Muskegon. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 1 brother and 1 sister. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 10:00 AM Friday, December 28, 2018 at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (239 W. Clay Ave.) with the Rev. Fr. Julian Reginato presiding. VISITATION will be held 4-7 PM Thursday at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., (231) 759-8565.
