Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth “Peg” Thompson, age 97, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at the Poppen Residence of Harbor Hospice. She was born January 22, 1915 in Ideal, SD, to Robert and Beth (Gore) Hampson and lived in the area for Read Obituary
Peggy was my best friend, "Dixie's" mother. When Dixie died, Peggy became a favored friend. She never seemed to age. I remember staying with her at her previous home along the beach. Peggy was always on the go and had a robust and gracious personality. Even into her 90's I learned bits of wisdom from her. She will be missed greatly!

It has been so very special knowing Peg at the Village a Park Terrace. She was a friend to everyone and you could always count on her being kind, loving and sincere.
I especially enjoyed our early morning conversations as she waited for her ride to go swimming and I waited for my walking partner. I was so impressed by, and thankful for, those who cared for her as she needed more care. Peg will be missed and will be remembered.

Have known Peg for many years. In fact, we go back to the 1960's when we worked together in the USDA Office for Wayne Taylor. Peg was always such a sweet person and willing to help in any way possible. She was a joy to be around and will always be considered a dear friend. Have thought of Peg many many times throughout the years.
