Margaret E. Natte's Obituary
Mrs. Margaret E. Natte, a loving mother and grandmother, died Tuesday morning, May 17, 2005, at her home, at the age of 87. She was born January 7, 1918 in Grand Rapids, MI to Simon & Jane (Zoet) Olthof and had resided in the Muskegon area most of her life. Margaret graduated from Calvin College with an A.B. in Education, in 1940. She then taught in the North Muskegon School System for 20 years, prior to her retirement in 1980. She was a member of the Muskegon area Retired Teacher’s Association and the Greater Muskegon Women’s Club, where she had previously served as President. She is a current member of First Christian Reformed Church and formerly of Bethany Christian Reformed Church, where she had been a member 43 years. Margaret loved the Arts (Music & Plays) and traveling to see family. On July 1, 1947 she married Hubert H. Natte and he preceded her in death on August 28, 1988. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Marri E. Natte in 2003 and by her sister, Ruth Driesens of Phoenix, AZ in 2004. SURVIVORS include 5 children, Michael (Cheryl) Natte, Kenneth Natte, Linda (Gary) Rottman & Ginny (David) Miesch, all of Muskegon and Donna (Charles) Ciraolo of Chandler, AZ; 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. SERVICES will be 2 PM Friday at First Christian Reformed Church (1450 Catherine Ave. @ Creston St.) with the Rev. Mike Borgert officiating. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION will be 6:30-9 PM Thursday at Sytsema Funeral Home, 737 Apple Avenue, Muskegon, MI 49442, (231-726-5210)and one-hour prior to the service at church. MEMORIAL GIFTS to Hospice of Muskegon-Oceana, the Greater Muskegon Woman’s Club or Muskegon Christian School will be appreciated.
