So sad to hear of Marian's passing! I have so many great memories of both her and John. But Marian holds a special place in my heart...she was duch an amazing friend to my grandma Betty Zelenka and went on to be just as anazing a friend to my grandma Vera Sutton as well. We spent many mornings at quilting bees together and evenings at quilt guild at Church of the Dunes. I remember the special visits with her at her home on Winans Street when my kids were little and visits with her at my grandma and grandpa Zelenka's when I was little...quilting abd gardening and just talking! She was such a special person in my life!!
I have so many memories of Marian, She was a great sister-in-law. She was always there for Tom and our 5 Children, they loved Aunt Marian. She gave Tom and I a beautiful Quilt. every morning when I make my bed, I think of Marian. Marian taught both Tom and I to Quilt. She made many Quilts for Humana, she was a very giving person and would help any one. I will miss her dearly, But will see you in Heaven Marian.
Love Donna Mackay.
My Aunt Marian (aka. Aunt Meme) was the best Aunt in the world. She was always there for me, and always had such a sweet smile and a cute laugh. I loved calling her on the phone and she'd say, Well hello Kath, how's it going? No matter how bad she was doing she wanted to know how I was doing. I loved how'd she'd say to me, "I love you girl", and give me a big hug and a kiss on my cheek whenever I'd be leaving her apartment from visiting her. We had such great talks together about my family, and interesting conversations about Uncle Bob. She held a very special place in my heart every since I was a kid, and now I feel so sad that I can't just call her anymore just to chat, or stop by for a visit. I'm so glad, and feel so blessed that I got over there the evening before she passed to have one last talk with her. Even though it was only a one sided conversation because she couldn't speak anymore it meant the world to me that I got to tell her one last time how much I love her, kiss her on her forehead, and told her how special she is to me. I love and miss you already Aunt Meme, but you;ll always be in my heart and in my memories. ♥️ Until we meet again Aunt Meme.
