Marian R. Reiss' Obituary
Mrs. Marian R. Reiss, age 90, of Grand Haven passed away Thursday, September 29, 2016 at home. She was born February 18, 1926 in Cleveland, OH to Byron and Mabel (Beers) Mackay. On April 19,1947 she married John Reiss in Grand Haven, and he preceded her in death on May 20, 2001.
Marian was a founding member of the Lakeshore Quilters, and she loved quilting for many years. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends and family.
She is survived by three daughters: Linda Reiss-Pike of White Lake, Patricia Reiss- Lowman of Grand Haven, and Nancy Reiss-Zahrt (husband Jeff) of Grand Haven; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Thomas (Donna) Mackay; brother-in-law, Joseph (Louise) Reiss; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; seven siblings; and son-in-law, David Pike.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, October 8, 2016 at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven.
