I am the eldest son of Raymond and Margaret Haan. While visiting with Mom(Margaret) yesterday she received your very thoughtful note, informing her of my great-aunt Marian's passing. It was a tearful reading by Mom-she had a special bond that transended the distances between them. As she told of my Dad and Mom traveling to the west side of the state for many years to stop in and see her and Husband George-I could see the very real affection for Marian. Mom wanted to let you and your family know how deeply saddened to hear-but, also to let you know how very special she was to Mom. She will always be held very close in my Mom's heart. Lillian and Family, Your mother was a warm, caring neighbor. In all of the years growing up next to your house, I never saw her without a smile on her face, even when your dad was supervising her as she mowed the lawn. Knowing that she won't be at home behind our house is sad. She was blessed to have you there to care for her throughout her illness. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We were sorry to hear about the loss of Mrs. Haan. She was one of our favorite bus drivers from Churchill-Henry. She will always have a special place in our hearts. Our sympathies go out to her family. She was a wonderful lady. We are having a Churchill-Henry reunion this summer for all that worked /attended there from 1963-1983. She will be missed.

Always a safe place. That is what I will remember most about my grandma. She was more than just a grandmother to me. She was my friend. Granny was there for me whenever I needed her. She helped me through some really tough times in my life and would always give me sound advise and comfort.
I could talk to her about anything and she would often be a shoulder to cry on, if needed. I have so many memories of her, like going out for Chinese because no one else liked it, except her and I and the twins!
I will always remember and appreciate her helping me with my two oldest children. They were so close to her and she loved them dearly. She often said how blessed she was by them, but we were the ones so blessed by her!
I remember comparing notes, often, about raising twins. The trials and tribulations!
I could go on and on about my grandma, but the most comforting thought I have, is that I will see her again. I miss her already, so much, but at least I know this isn't the end. I will get to spend eternity with her and for that I couldn't be more grateful!
