Happy Mother's Day - my fourth without you. It seems like just yesterday you were here with us, yet it seems like a lifetime since I have seen you in person. I am surviving, but that's what you taught me . . . . .be strong, and I am, on the outside anyways.

Presley just turned 18 Mom - 18! He is such a good kid and SO HANDSOME! Unfortunately whenever he has a birthday I think of the year you came home and surprised me by showing up at his birthday party . . . . again it seems like just yesterday but again feels like a lifetime ago.

I struggle so much on this day, I want to be happy and everything for my kids and grandkids but it is really hard today because all I think of is you and what I would give to spend five minutes with you - today or any day of the year. I love you and miss you more than anyone knows. Until we meet again Mama Mari . . . letting it be.

Three years ago today you left us Mama and nothing has been the same ever since. Don't worry, we are all getting by but it's so different without your smiling face. The grandkids are growing like weeds and I wish you were here to see how awesome they are. Presley is such a handsome young man and his girlfriend is a sweetheart, I wish you could have met her. Payleigh and Paige are thriving at their new school and doing SO well in sports. Paulie - so tall at age 8 - and SO talented. Jayson and Jullian are going into junior high already next year! You really don't probably remember Kalvin, Kenna, Londyn but they are very beautiful children. And the baby Lawson, the one you never met is such a sweet and happy baby.

I dread this day, December 21, and Christmas - well - it's just not Christmas without you. I put one foot in front of the other and get the shopping and decorating done because I have to for the grandkids but you are never far from my thoughts Mama.

I miss you still every day and think of you at least once during every day, usually more. Until we meet again - letting it be as best as I can. I love you and miss you terrible Mama Mari!

Another Mother's Day without you . . . . number three already. I sure wish I could tell you that in person or even on the phone. Aunt Shari called and left me a message the other day and when I listened to the voicemail I started to cry because it sounded so much like you and took me by surprise.

We are all doing okay and surviving, kids growing, and life goes on . . . . . without you. I am going to put a smile on my face today and try to enjoy my family but underneath it all - very, very sad today.

Just thought I would say Hi - you are on my mind even more than usual today and I don't know why. It's not an anniversary, or a birthday, or anything special, just a day when I can't stop thinking about how much I miss you.

Grandkids are growing so fast Presley is going to be 17!!! I wish you could see him and how handsome he is and what a good kid he is you would be so proud. I know you really didn't know the younger ones, but they remember you. Londyn is going to be four already - at least you got to hold her a few times. New grandbaby coming in July and he will never know you which makes me sad! His name will be Lawson, and he is Korey's third son.

Well, rambling here on my hotline to heaven, but it seriously helps. I know it's crazy to think you can actually read this but it makes me feel better so whatever.

Two years today since you took your last breath - Lesli thought it was three because this is our third Christmas without you - I set her straight of course. I still can't wrap my head around this, it's sometimes easier to just pretend you are in Florida, or you can't talk to me on the phone because of the stupid Alzheimer's, but soon enough, reality sets in . . .

Overall, I am doing better. I haven't cried yet today and it's almost 7:00 PM, last year on the 21st of December I was a basket case all day. It's all that strength you gave me and taught me maybe?

I still love my new job, but I guess it's not really new anymore. I've been there almost a year and I love the people I work with and the things I am responsible for.

Getting ready for Christmas, wrapping up the shopping, but of course Christmas will never be the same again, not since you left us four days before Christmas in 2014.

Love and miss you mama Mari, letting it be . . . . . until we meet again. We will have SO much to talk about . . . . .

Happy Birthday Mama - I miss you so so so much today - not just because it's your birthday - I have a lot of stuff going on with my family and sometimes it is just not fun being the adult. With you gone - I feel like I can't pretend I'm a kid, not even for a second. It was very sad turning 53 knowing you were not going to turn 73 right behind me! Hey Mama - It's time for our birthdays! Sadly I will turn 53 and you will not be here to turn 73. I got my memorial tattoo for you last week. I know you hated tattoos, but I think you would actually like this one - totally dedicated to you.

I'm at work - still at my job that I know you guided me to. Full time now, benefits too and I still love coming to work - the drive is wearing on me, and winter is coming - UGH.

Kids are doing well - all nine grandkids are too. And mama - I'm getting grandbaby number 10 in July. The first grandchild of mine to be born after you left. I know you didn't know the youngest very well - Londyn - but you got to hold her at least. This baby will not know you at all, but I will tell him/her all about you, I promise.

I sure wish this would go away - this emptiness and everything, but people I talk to tell me it won't go away - so I have learned to live with it. I try not to cry when I think of you, but that is extremely difficult and I think of you every day.

Hope you and Mike are doing well together, sometimes that's the only comforting thought. You have your Mikey . . . .

Memorial Day weekend - thinking of you. Somehow spring and summer are never the same without that smile of yours. Oh who am I kidding, no season is the same, no month, no day, no second is the same. Change is good people say. Sometimes yes - this thing with you gone - no.

Just wanted to talk to you for a minute. I have lots going on this weekend which helps. But, still end up missing you.

Happy Mother's day to you. I wish I could tell you in person. I wish I could bring you some flowers, hell I wish I could talk to you just for two minutes, not being selfish, just a couple minutes. This day is always so hard for me Momma, I want to have a good positive day for all my grandkids and kids but on the other hand I want to lay in bed and cry all day, have a pity party for myself, and just wait until tomorrow to get up. I hope you know how much you are missed by all of us. I hope you know not a day goes by - still after nearly 17 months - that you are not thought of, spoken about, etc.

I would give anything to talk to you - anything.

Missing you still and wondering when this heavy heart will go away but I don't think that is ever going to happen.

Haven't posted in a while because I thought I couldn't, but discovered today that I still can. My little imaginary lifeline to heaven. Like I actually picture you up there reading this. Wow. Headed to Florida on Sunday - sure wish it was to see you, but Ken and I will have fun I'm sure. We are going to the Keys - I don't remember every going there in all the times we went to Florida together. So - I got a new job and I just KNOW you guided me to it. It is perfect for me and I love it and for nearly the first time in a long time I actually enjoy coming to work! Working on my second year without you - unbelievable but true. My baby is going to be thirty this summer. Time is passing by which is so sad in a way but then again, closer to the time that I will get to be with you again and talk to you and I just can't wait until then. Love you Mama Mari . . . .
