My life with Marilyn started when Cecil,Ovien, Marilyn, Paulette, Donnie and Valarie Birmingham bought the restaurant, gas station at South Boardman , Mich. My family became friends with the them. They were good folks! My bud Sandy and I would drive our old farmall H to the store and eat great burgers, malts and play pinball machine. Of course us being teenagers we really went to try to impress Marilyn and Paulette! we were all quite innocent but we did manage to get a kiss once in a while. I still don't remember which one was my first kiss. Those were good times! Then when when the terrible fire took Marilyn and Paulette's family they come to live with mom and dad and three teenage boys. That was a huge change for everyone involved. We had some rough times but I would not change anything because we all became one family! And we to this day love each other. Marilyn was our older sister and had a drivers licence, so we tried to get her to haul us around. Later when I worked in Grand Rapids Marilyn and Ray gave me a chance to be part of their family with the kids Shari, Shawn, Carmen and Becky. Ray treated me like a not so mature younger brother and Marilyn treated me like a loving brother. they were very good to me, and I was very immature. Their are so many happy times with Marilyn and Ray through the years. I'm missing you Marilyn and loving you! Your brother, Russ
