Christine Sutherland Mc Arthur
Dear Shelly and Randy,
I was surprised to learn that your mom had passed. I hadn't spoken to her in several months, but she had been on my mind for the past three months, and I just never found the appropriate time to call her, given her daily routine.
Margie has been a friend of our family my entire life. I first remember her from early 50's when she and my aunt Peg Lindback used to babysit us. Over my life, I've shared many pleasant times with your mom, and she was often included in family activities.
Your mother was one of the most genuine people I have ever known and that made her very special to me. We usually chatted only a few times each year, but they were good times. She had a heart of gold and unique personality which included a wonderful sense of humor. She was very helpful to my folks when they were alive, too. She was a very caring soul who was always giving of herself in any way needed.
I can't believe that in all of the years I've known your mom that we didn't really get to know you both, but I know how very proud she was of you and her grandkids, and that she was crazy about all of you. I've heard of family milestones, holidays and whatever else she wanted to share. I knew of Rusty's struggles, and sadly was not aware of when he actually passed away. We talked all about that later.
I'll miss your mom and our times together, but will remember her fondly with a smile when she comes into my memory. She was truely a beautiful friend.
