Marjorie E. Russell's Obituary
Mrs. Marjorie E. Russell, 89, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2023, in Muskegon. She was born March 21, 1934, in Muskegon to Raymond and Eva (Henry) Sharon and was a lifelong resident. Marge worked in the claims department at MESC until 1992 and retired when she was 58 years old. That allowed her to enjoy a good long retirement. She liked to travel and enjoyed her trip to Nova Scotia, but the trip of her lifetime was when she went to Ireland and Scotland. She also enjoyed shopping at consignment shops, garage sales, and estate sales. On November 8, 1957, she married Rex L. Russell and he preceded her in death on January 27, 1988. Survivors include two children: Randy Russell, Rochelle “Shelly” (Michael) Petersen; her granddaughter Jennifer Russell; step-granddaughter: Jennifer (Bob) Casler; step-great-grandchildren: Robert (Alyse) Casler, Ryan (Jessica) Casler. Marge was also preceded in death by her son, Rusty Russell in 2018. The funeral service will be Saturday, November 11, at 10:30 AM at The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., Muskegon, MI 49441. Visitation will be Friday, November 10, from 5-7 PM also at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Lakeside Cemetery.
