I worked alongside mark for close to 3 years and worked another shift in the department for 2. Mark rice was a great guy, quick witted and humble. His calendar in the shop always did a countdown to Christmas and he killed me when he’d throw the red topper on his truck and call it a sleigh.
I used to anticipate his cheery “Morning fellers” at 4 AM everyday and I think of him from time to time, he was a real character and I’m sorry to hear of his passing.
my little brother was one of the best! We had many many good times together, he was always our yard saleing guide, stop fast and back up to find one. He was my dealer, I am a tupperware junkie and he supplied me whenever he found some at a sale. He only got duplicate maybe twice. Don't know how he would remember what he bought me. I received my last 2 pieces Monday; I will cherish them forever!! His stuffed hash browns not only FILLED your place but were the best ever, his breakfasts were amazing! His love for kids and doge were out of this world, buying treats for the dogs or, like my Willow {a mini Datson} he would set on the table and feed her scraps after our holiday meals. . He was always there helping someone didn't matter who it was, he would help! I will remember his hugs goodbye with a zerebert on my cheek and then a "see ya when your older" He will be sorely missed.
Muzzleloading is not just a sport. It is looking forward to seeing people you may only see once or twice a year. I call them my Muzzleloading family. Good friends with a lot of shared camp memories. Mark was one of those people. Also a pleasure to visit with and shoot with. When going through my pictures I pretty much just needed to look for the guy in shorts with the big beard. He will greatly be missed in our circle. Condolences to the family. I hope you will find these pictures a sign that others loved him as well.

I am heartbroken to learn of Mark's sudden passing. He truly was one-of-a-kind, with a vibrant spirit that brightened our workplace especially around Christmas season. Mark's unique blend of humor, warmth, and wisdom made him more than just a coworker; he was a cherished friend. I'll deeply miss our conversations and his joyful Christmas spirit. My thoughts are with wife, my coworkers- Marky Mark Jr. and John, and the rest of his family during this incredibly difficult time 💔😭🫂
