You performed with me at my very first music show in Marquette. You sat directly in front of me on the floor so I could see someone was listening (and eagerly). We found a common ground at the shore and in the pine. Every walk we went on, you would find time to ask "Can you believe we live here?!" and we'd laugh. I fell even more in love with Marquette because I got to share love for it with someone who appreciated it just as much. You inspired many of my songs, and I yours. We were strangers that became songs that became strangers again. I never fell asleep on Sunday evening and I had an urgency to contact you. When I found you passed Monday morning, my sleepless night made sense.
Kyle and I visited the lake on Saturday, sat on the beach, and talked of you. And I felt you laughing and your appreciation that we were together.
I've been listening to The Sundays, can you hear it?
Sending love out into the universe to your family and friends. Meet you in the music notes.
