He was truly the most patient mani have ever met. He and my husband Dick would go out salmon fishing in Marshall's boat for hours, changing lures, changing directions waiting for the big ones to strike. And most of the time they finally did. But boy did he love to tease me! The first time I met him, he was butchering deer in his garage! He started right in-what he didn't know was I had two older brothers so I gave it right back to him only worse. We became fast friends from then on. We had so many fun camping trips mainly to Healey Lake and there were always rides in the truck to unknown places where we could pick apples, watch does with their fawns, visit the Fish Hatchery. He would take the kids with Sally and me into Bear Lake to shop in the dime store with their dollar ( it went quite a ways then). Then for ice cream. My favorite memory was our campfires where we would all sit around with Dick and Sally's Mom and Dad and yak about everything under the sun. Marshall was a kind compassionate guy and would move the world for you. His favorite expression was "OH, SAL" when she wanted something done right that minute and he wasn't ready. My husband Dick, my sister-in-law Sally and my brother-in-law Marshall are all gone and quite frankly I'm kind of lost and have had to give this over to God. Marshall was the best brother-in-law I could ever wish for and will always remain loved and cherished in my heart.
