Marshall L. Cook's Obituary
Mr. Marshall L. Cook, born May 18, 1938 to Clyde and Doris (Arendsen) Cook passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 just seven days after his wife, Sally, passed away. The two high school sweethearts were married on October 19, 1957 in Muskegon. Marshall and Sally shared 65 years of marriage together and loved one another dearly. Marshall enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country until being Honorable Discharged in 1963. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Marshall had several antique Farmall tractors, enjoyed traveling, and was an animal lover. He and Sally enjoyed taking trips down to Lake Michigan. Marshall adored his grandchildren and made sure to attend all of their school activities and sporting events to show how proud of them he was. He will be remembered as a patient man who gave his love to everyone. Marshall will be deeply missed by his children, Marc (Cindy) Cook and Julie Resterhouse (Bruce Duff); son-in-law, Michael Resterhouse; grandchildren, Shelby Cook, AJ Cook, Kyle (Kathleen) Campbell, Dan (Molly) Campbell, Rachel Campbell, Katie (Nick) Forrest, Rachel Resterhouse, and Sarah Resterhouse (David Foster); six great-grandchildren; and sister, Judy (Ron) Bytwerk. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Jan DeWitt. A Combined Visitation to celebrate Marshall’s and Sally’s lives will be held Thursday, March 9 from 4:00 – 7:00PM at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444.
