My Aunt Marva was a treasure in our family and I remember her well since the day of her marriage in 1951 to her beloved Wally; I was honored to be the flower girl at their wedding. The wedding was held at my grandmother's house and I was going on five years old! It was a special day for me in my little pink dress with a fancy white collar, complete with gloves and white shoes! I remember the photographer trying to gt me to smile but I was just too tired! She was a special aunt to me in every way--sweet, kind, and fun to be around! Being my mother's youngest sister, she was just 17 years older than me.
And then I remember her most recently, still being her beautiful self, at our Thanksgiving celebration with her close family and extended family of about 70 people! She was her usual bubbly self and she chatted with everyone about her family--especially her grand children and her great grand children--and everything else she could think of. She cherished her family and lived life to the fullest in so many ways. She never seemed old to me as she always wore a big smile on her face!
As a family we have so many great memories of Aunt Marva!
Fondly,
Mary and Jack Meyers
