Marvin Stromberg's Obituary
Mr. Marvin Stromberg, age 82, passed away Friday, April 8, 2011, at a local nursing home. Marvin was born August 27, 1928 in Stambaugh, MI to Herman and Alma Stromberg . Marvin served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. On February 18, 1950 he married the former Virginia Jean Knapp and she survives him. He was a machine operator at Muskegon Piston Ring for 33 years prior to his retirement. Marvin is survived by 2 sons, Brian (Audrey) Stromberg of Muskegon and Alan Stromberg of Zeeland; 5 grandchildren, Shelley, Melissa, Marty ,Haley and Dale; several great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Wayne (Kay) Stromberg, and Glenn Stromberg; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Katherine Elaine Kelley in 2001; his grandson, Donald Greenert, Jr.; a sister, Elaine; and a sister-in-law, Frances Stromberg. In accordance with his wishes, PRIVATE FAMILY SERVICES will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross.
