Mike and Family,
You are in our thoughts and prayers as you grieve the loss of your dear mom.
With Christian Sympathy,
Dave and Diane Bennink
My sympathy to all of you. I first met Mary as one of the girls that lived at 433 Coit
in Grand Rapids in 1944-45-and 46. My wife Norma was one of those girls, along with
Althea Swift and Norma Higgins. They used to get together occasionally along with
their spouses,so that is the only times I ever saw her. She and my wife corresponded
frequently for many years with family news and pictures. I received a nice note from
Mary a couple of weeks ago, with an article about my musician son that had been in the
Grand Haven paper. She also wrote that she had lung cancer.
She was a very friendly and loving person, and I'm sure a wonderful mother and
grand mother to her family.

My sympathy to the family of Mrs. Anthes. I always appreciated her smiles, kind words, and little candy treats. She will be missed. From, Tyler VanBeek (her Tribune paperboy)
Mary Anthes was one of the sweetest, most gentle women I have ever known. Even though I moved away over 30 years ago, she remembered to send me a Birthday and Christmas card every year, with pictures and proud stories about her children and grandchildren! And when I was in town, I would visit and she was always so happy to see me and never seemed to age a bit! She will be missed, and my condolensces go out to the whole family. Sincerely, Chris (Schindlbeck) Berry
To Mary's family,
Mary was such a sweet warm hearted lady, She always said how much she liked me which made me feel good. Now she is in God's home and feeling the best she has felt in her life. I'm so Thankful I got the chance to meet this fine lady. May God be with you all in this time of loss. I will always remember her sweet gentle hugs. May Mary RIP.
God Bless you all!
Andrea. (cousin to Derek, and Kelsey)
