Mary Ann Gilson's Obituary
Mary Ann Gilson, age 83, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 20, 2021. She was born on April 8, 1938, to Fredrick and Minnie (Kruck) Juergens at her childhood home in Muskegon. Mary Ann was a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from Muskegon High School in 1956. On January 30th, 1983, she married the love of her life, Richard Gilson, and they spent 38 loving years together. Mary Ann retired in 1990 from her work as an Office Manager of a dental office and was a successful realtor for several years with Coastal Realty in Grand Haven. She loved to travel, especially in their RV, where she, Dickie, and Elf toured the United States and Canada. Mary Ann enjoyed visiting the Florida coast and she loved beautiful pink flamingos! She was a very talented, skilled, and creative seamstress, and was meticulous in her details. Her passion for photography, boating, and the water always made for a great time with her family. She loved flowers and the color pink. Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Richard Gilson; children, Pamela Teasley, Lara (Chris) Gilson, Todd (Renee) Gilson; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Matthew, Russell, Jacob; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; children, Darlene, Denise, Nicole; and brothers, Harold, Rudy, and Albert. A private family service will take place. Memorials in memory of Mary Ann can be made to Four Pointes Center for Successful Aging (1051 S. Beacon Blvd, Grand Haven, MI 49417).
