Mary Ann Haak's Obituary
Mary Ann Haak, age 75, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, May 20, 2025. She was born May 1, 1950 in Owosso, MI to Dominick and Mary (Petrovich) Rolando and lived in the Muskegon area most of her life. Prior to retirement, Mary Ann worked joyfully as a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery in California, Arizona, and later for Hackley Hospital and Muskegon General Hospital for over three decades. She had attended Community United Methodist Church and Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Mary Ann was passionate about quilting, sewing, and smocking, and she loved finding vintage glass and porcelain at estate sales. She enjoyed spending time with family and was known by all as a selfless, caring mother, wife, and friend. Most knew her delicious cooking as she loved serving others by feeding them, whether sharing soup with a few friends or spaghetti for an entire football team. Mary Ann married the love of her life, Timothy M. Haak, on August 26, 1972 in Henderson, MI. He preceded her in death on June 24, 2018 and she looked forward to reuniting with him and other beloved family members who had passed. Survivors include 4 children, Andrew (Jennifer) Haak, Peterson (Kate Eisenmann) Haak, Betsy (Chris) Salzman, Sean (Katelind) Haak; 9 grandchildren, Abby Haak, Gavin Haak, Josh Haak, Cora Haak, Scout Salzman, Caspian Salzman, Leo Haak, Elliot Haak, Sophia Haak; 1 brother, Joseph Rolando; 3 sisters, Loretta (Tom) Hadwin, Diana (Dave) Space, and Esther (Mike) Perez. Her sister Rose (Rolando) Akin preceded Mary Ann in death on May 22, 2014. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, May 30, 2025 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI 49444. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
