I knew Mary from afar, she in Michigan, I in Utah. We made acquaintance through family connections. She a Morrall, my my grandmother was Mildred St. Clair Morrall who married a Chapman. Mary knew my mother, also a
Michigan-ite, Rosemarie Chapman. Over the years Mary and I exchanged emails about family history and other topics she was interested in. She would send me photos of her beautiful, handmade greeting cards, I would send her family photos. She sent me remarkable pictures of iced-in lighthouses and bridges etc. While I envied her proximity to ice-fishing, those photos made me appreciate the winters here in the desert Southwest. We had an enjoyable, familial friendship, and I will miss her. She was a sweet, sweet lady. Dan Evans
