Mary always loved her "babies".....any uncomfortable baby settled down into a snuggly baby in her warm cuddling.....the grandchildren brought the happiest of smiles to her face.
Also loved to be in the kitchen of that house and hear her and "big Vic" gently tease each other about food preparation.....they prepared fish for many of the clubs and were known for having the "best fish ever"....."Big Vic" always gave credit to Mary for their success because she was the only one who knew how to roll the fish properly. They were quite the team in making blood soup and head cheese also. To me, that kitchen was the heart of the home and the food and bantering that came out of there are treasures. Mary taught me her recipe for "pigs in the blanket" and for making those little doughy treats with sausage or cheese or kraut (?) in them and then were gently brought to a boil.
I will always remember Mary as a truly GOOD woman. lovingly remembered by Carol Norkus-Parker
