Mary L. Willacker's Obituary
Mary L. Willacker, of Grand Rapids, died Friday, October 4th in Grand Rapids. She was born on May 18, 1959, in Muskegon to Earl and Lynne (Dahlstrom) Willacker. Survivors include brothers and sisters: Mike Willacker (Cindy); Pat Faught (Charles); Sue Walters (Chuck); Leslie Vanderberg (Al); Brian Willacker (Kim); and brother-in-law, Craig Drelles. Mary also had numerous nieces & nephews; grand-nieces & grand nephews; great-grand nieces & nephews; and special Goddaughter, Taylor. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, David Willacker and sister, Karen Drelles.
Mary graduated from Whitehall High School, Class of 1977. She was a talented athlete and participated actively in sports: tennis, basketball and track for much of her life. Mary was a “fix it” person who frequently did home improvement projects and could always be counted to help with home and auto repairs. Mary loved to be with her family and friends and was well known for her generous heart and distinctive laugh.
The celebration of life will be held on Saturday October 19, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the The VanZantwick Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 620 Washington Ave, Grand Haven, MI 49417 with a time of sharing at 2:30 PM.
