Ron and family:

Ron, sorry we were unable to adequately share our condolences with you at our family reunion last week, but it was great to see you doing quite well. We were so sorry to hear of Mary's illness and death. You and Mary always stopped in to see the family on Round Lake. We remember how wonderful you both were to Erik when he wanted to hunt on your property. You were very gracious taking him "under your wing" and we never worried about him when he was there.

Mary will be missed but she left a great legacy with your children and grandchildren. Enjoy those precious memories with them.

Mr. Carter (Abominable Snowman), Carrie, Connie, Ed and the rest of the family, I was so sorry to hear about Mrs. Carter's passing. I have such fond memories of her starting with the bag of homemade chocolate chip cookies she always had ready after school(Mrs. Field's couldn't even begin to compete). I spent so much time at your house and with your family as I was growing up and your mom always made me feel like I was one of HER gang. I was amazed at how often she invited me to go along with your family to Pentwater and "The Shack" (Wow, what incredible memories I have about those places). Through my teenage years Mrs. Carter was always ready to listen to my drama and give sound advice. As I became an adult we became neighbors and friends however,I would never quite bring myself to call her Mary. She was and will always be in my heart Mrs. Carter. I am so sorry for your loss. I always liked Mrs. Carter. I did a lot of puzzles with her over the years and she always made me feel like I fit in, even in those awkward teenage years. I remember swimming in the pool, visiting Papa in Pentwater, practicing dance moves before a school dance, and much, much more. What an awesome person who has left behind an awesome family.
