Mary Elsa Carter's Obituary
Mrs. Mary Elsa Carter, age 67, lost her long battle with multiple illnesses Thursday, June 12, 2008. Mrs. Carter was born February 19, 1941 to Warren and Elsa (Sundberg) Mullen in Jackson, MI. On July 31, 1959 she married Ronald E. Carter. Mary gave up a potential career in nursing to raise her family. She lived in Muskegon until moving to Mason County in 1994. She taught ceramics for 25 years and enjoyed the many friends she made in the process. Mary is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Ron; her children, Carrie (Jeff) Bancroft of Boca Raton, FL, Connie (Kurt) Lubben of Scottville and Ed (Arlene) Carter of Whitmore Lake; grandchildren, Rob & Ron Bancroft, Ben, Josh & Tara Lubben, MaryKate, Molly, Michaela & Jack Carter. In accordance with her wishes there will be no services. Those desiring to make a memorial contribution may consider Make-A-Wish Foundation or some similar children’s charity of your choice.
