My sincerest condolences to Matthew's family. I graduated with Matt and had the privilege of getting to know him through theater and choir. He was always kind, considerate and had a personality that lit up the room. All his talents left lasting memories on everyone around him. He will be missed and so fondly remembered.

I had the opportunity to interact with Matt several times recently at his work. Despite not seeing him for years, he was just as warm and engaging in that setting as he was in high school. Our hearts go out to you.

Matt always greeted me with a smile and much respect. His love of sports and music grew with each year. He continued to surprise me with his many talents. He was loved by so many of his peers both upper and lower class-men. He was a true Laker! On the field or the Mat, he bled Red and Gray! My heart goes out to the Koops family and the Laker family. You are all held in our prayers.
