To the Melvyn Dalman Family. I was saddened to hear of Mel's demise from my friend and Mel's Bro-in-law, Dick Peel. Mel and I sat next to each other in Ernie Swanson's Algebra class at Grand Haven High School. Mel was a better scholar than me and helped me get through the class. So sorry to hear Dad Dalman’s passing. He was a great guy and I have many fond memories of time spent at the Dalman home and hunting during those high school /college years. I remember him as a hard working man dedicated to his family and an avid sportsman. I also remember he and Mom Dalman were a cute couple – lots of love and humorous banter :) . Sorry for the “dad, mom” references but anything else seems too formal and that’s what we called them growing up.
