Merle Calvin "Bud" Oldt Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Merle Calvin Oldt, Jr., age 89, passed away September 10, 2007. He was born March 9, 1918 in Pentwater, MI to Merle and Julia (Weiber) Oldt, Sr. and moved to Muskegon as a youngster. He married the former Arita M. Lasser in Muskegon on June 3, 1939 and she preceded him in death on January 8, 2006. Mr. Oldt was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Muskegon Heights Eagles and he also enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was employed at Teledyne Continental Motors for many years until his retirement. SURVIVORS: 1 son, Thomas G. (Dr. Dale Mueller) Oldt of Whitehall; 1 daughter, Janet A. (Guy) Robbins of Montague; 3 grandchildren, Christopher (Dee) Robbins, Mark Robbins I and Todd (Sue) Robbins; 3 great-grandchildren, Mark Robbins II, Zachary Robbins and Lauren Robbins. The MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be held Friday 11 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with visitation beginning one hour prior to the Mass. INTERMENT: St. Mary’s Cemetery. MEMORIALS: Hackley VNS Hospice.
