Mike Fuqua was one of my best friends, which is strange to say since we only knew each other for such a short time and had lost contact for over 40 years. He is a part of my very best memories of West Point. Anyone who knows me has heard about "Frenchy". I was lucky enough to have recently reconnected with him and was able to hear his life story. As amazing as everything he accomplished and experienced was, the underlying theme was clearly his love for his wife and family and the joy and happiness that his life had brought him.
My sincere condolences to his wife and family, but know that Mike lives on in my memory of him and and our time together.
God Bless you and Keep you -- Mark Schreder (West Point Class of '81)
