To my brother from another mother. I love you my brother, it was my honor to serve as your platoon sergeant and to help you through several surgeries, wait.... I think you helped me through your surgeries. No matter how the winds changed on you, you always made light of it with a joke and a smile.
Soldier
I was that which others did not want to be.
I went where others feared to go, and do what others failed to do.
I ask for nothing from those who gave nothing, and reluctantly accepted the thought of external loneliness.......should I fail.
I have seen the face of terror; felt the stinging cold of fear; and enjoyed the sweetest taste of a moments love.
I have cried, pained and hoped, but most of all, I have lived times others would say best forgotten.
At least someday I will be able to say I was proud of what I was..... A Soldier
Rest now my brother, you have given enough and we....your brother's and sister's have the watch. You will be missed but never forgotten!
