Jan and Family
I was shocked and deeply saddened of the news about Mike's passing from this life to the next. Mike was a very special man. Summers will not be the same. without him. I first met Mike one summer at the MBG Holland warehouse. No matter the time of the year we met ...there were alawys laughs... Especially when he would inspect our berries. I would always remind Mike the good ones are on the top and the bad ones on the bottom. What a great man... I will truly miss him.

Dear Jan and family,
We are so saddened by your loss and sorry that we were not able to be with you to celebrate his life. Mike always had a big smile and loved to provide "white elephants" when least suspected. We will treasure our memories of the trips to the Cherry/Blueberry Retreat Center. You remain in our thoughts and prayers. Much love, Mary Ann & Mike##imported-begin##Mary Ann & Mike Van Houzen##imported-end##

The Mayhew Family - I just wanted to let you know how very sad, sorry and shocked I was to hear of Mike's sudden illness and passing. I first met Mike back in '91 at MBG Marketing and had the pleasure of his company on many projects and the annual MBG Golf Outing. His knowledge was incredible and his sense of humor outstanding. I will truly miss his daily email jokes. Some of my greatest memories at MBG involved Mike and several practical jokes. He will be truly missed by every person that had the pleasure of knowing him. My thoughts and prayers are with your family - May God Bless You All.##imported-begin##Lynn Kelley##imported-end##
I am extremely sad to hear of the loss of Mike. Mike and I worked together at the Blueberry Association for over 25 years. I was the summer warehouse manager at Grand Junction. I am a elementary building principal in South Haven. I talked to Mike on an attendance issue at the end of May.
Mike was a man that understood how to blend the inner and outer landscape of life. He exhibited humility and respect for the human heart. He was confident and willing to take risk yet maintained a deep recognition of who he was and most importantly his connection to others. He had a love affair with life that was a source of inspiration for all of us. We hold the family in our thoughts.
