Words cannot express my sadness upon hearing of Shelley's passing. I lived next door to the Adamczak family for a number of years from the late 70's through most of the 80's. So many great memories spending time with Shelley, Kathy and Tom! And yes, Shelley's spirit was so inspirational. What a blessing!

I was very sorry to hear of Michelle's passing. Growing up attending Parkside Alliance Church across the street from the Adamczaks, i got to know Shelly and Kathy and Tom. Its been 25 or 30 years, and I really had no idea of what Michelle's life has been like. I remember a spunky, glowing teenage girl. Reading of her life...I really don't have the words to describe my thoughts, except a little shame because of the minor, piddly things that I let get me down during the course of life. Michelle was amazing, and now she is in Jesus' presence. "To live is Christ, and to die is gain." Michelle's family is in my prayers.
I also have fond memories of Shelly babysitting for Nicole. We always enjoyed her visits and she took such wonderful care of our Nicole. I have not kept in touch however, she will always be remembered fondly. We will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers. Love, Ray and Kathy Maffet

Sadly, I had not seen Michelle for a very long time. I will always have such wonderful memories of living next door to Michelle and the rest of the Adamczak family! I will always remember Michelle's incredible smile and positive attitude. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family at this difficult time.

We are so sad to hear this news. Both Becky and I loved Shelley and were greatly blessed to know her. The love, commitment, and faithfulness of Duane and Shelley together all these years is a beautiful example of the love that God has for us, selfless, giving and always for the good of the recipient. Since we've been out of the country for most of the last 13 years we weren't blessed to see Shelley and Duane often, but each time we were back in the US they came to join the German family at Fricano's Pizza to see us and each time we were encouraged again by Shelley's sweet heart and cheerful smile. We will miss her greatly. We wish we could be there now for the whole family, but we know that God will comfort your hearts in the days to come.
When Nate and I first started dating he was nervous for me to meet his Mom.... What he never realized is I fell in love with his family so fast and it made me appreciate the kind of person Nate was and fall for him even faster. When I first met Shelley I already knew she would be someone that I would get very close to very fast... and that is exactly what happened. I got to spend a lot of time with Shelly and I cherish that time now more than ever. After I knew her a month Shelley was giving me a hug goodbye one day and kissed me on my cheek and told me she loved me. This hit very close to home because my parents and I had never just come out and said how we felt like that to each other, its something we always knew but never reminded each other of. When she said it I could tell she really meant it and that meant so much to me. Shelley then continued to show her love for me by becoming a Mother to me...... Shelley is most definitely the strongest and happiest person I will ever meet in my life and I look up to her in so many ways. My heart aches for Duane and Nate and the rest of the family. But Im sure shes watching over us right now and dancing with the Angels..... to country music of course :O) I love you Shelley.. You have made a huge impact on my life and I will never forget you.

I hadn't seen Shelley in many years....but always valued the friendship we had shared in our youth. I thought about her often! The picture posted here on her obituary is exactly how I remember her....a big beautiful smile on her face! And even though I never had the opportunity to meet Duane or their son Nathan, I know she was very blessed to have the both of them in her life! Together they were an incredible representation of what love and family are all about! Gone....but definitely not forgotten!
