Mrs. Michelle "Shelley" Marie German's Obituary
Mrs. Michelle “Shelley” M. (Adamczak) German, age 46, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2012 and received God’s greatest miracle – eternal life and heavenly peace. Shelley was born August 24, 1965 in Muskegon to Michael and Audrey (Kotecki) Adamczak and lived her entire life in Muskegon. On February 2, 1985, she married Duane K. German, her best friend and love of her life. On February 21, 1986, she gave birth to her son, Nate – the love and pride of her life who she would tell everyone about along with her dog, “Cuddles”. Shelley loved God, life and her family. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Grand Haven. With her faith and love of God, Shelley conquered her illness many times over the years. Even though her illness left her blind and paralyzed, she enjoyed life by talking on the phone, going to movies, listening to country music and concerts, traveling, camping, and even riding a tandem bicycle. If Shelley wanted to do something, we found a way. She was a loving and caring person who loved raising and guiding her son, Nate. She especially enjoyed being with family and her husband, Duane. Shelley was an inspiration to family, friends, and strangers who watched her overcome her life’s daily struggles. She could find happiness in life’s simple things and on her face she always had a beautiful smile. SURVIVORS include her husband, Duane German; her son, Nate German; her mother, Audrey Adamczak; her brother, Tom (Brenda) Adamczak; her sister, Kathy (Todd) Giant; her nieces and nephews, Shane, Alexa, Breanne, and Kelsey; and the family of Bob and Betty German. She was preceded in death by an infant son at birth; and her father, Mike Adamczak. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be 1:00 PM Friday, April 27, 2012 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. William A. Langlois as celebrant. VISITATION will be held 5-8 PM Thursday at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., (231) 759-8565, where the Rosary will be prayed at 5:30 PM.
