My mom and I were planning on coming to the funeral service today, but my mom's leg is healing slowly and it is very difficult for her to move around. I always remember her incredible smile and also her love for Jesus. She led her life in the confidence of her faith and I always looked up to her for my example as a God fearing women. We are thankful that our comfort and stength comes from our faith in Christ. Hello Phil,Christy,Tom and Ken: Although,I haven't seen any of you folks in years,I often am reminded of those early years back on Exchange. Of playing basketball in the drive way, or football in the backyard, or going to North Shore on hot summer evenings with the Dykman's.Your home (which was,I think,an exact floor plan as ours) was almost like a second home for me,and your mother was a huge part of that.She always seemed very warm and caring and very laid back, and I always felt safe while I was there.

My first memory of Mrs. Dykman was 50 over 50 years ago. We lived two houses to the west of the Dykman's on Exchange Street. Mrs. Dykman was always kind, gracious, and loving toward me.... and always talked to me about the Lord. Her son Phil taught me how to catch a baseball in his backyard... and her daughter Christy was someone I had a perpetual crush on.... ( however it was a one way crush!).... The Dykman's were kind to little boy who really needed affrimation as a child... I was indeed blessed by that family and this woman of God.... 50 years later the kindness and love shown has not been lost on me.... I travel the world now... ( including now, sorry I am gone during this time), and I can say there are very few people that left a more lasting memory in my mind than Mrs. Dykman.
