Minnie Dykman's Obituary
Mrs. Minnie Dykman, age 93, of Spring Lake passed away February 24, 2011, at a local care facility. She was born October 20, 1917, in Fremont to Henry and Jeanette (Wolters) Bowman.
Minnie was a member of Spring Lake Christian Reformed Church, where she was a Bible School teacher for the Mary Martha Circle. She was also a volunteer with the Grand Haven Christian School Auxiliary. Minnie served as an Avon representative for many years. She enjoyed walking and spending time with her family.
On August 17, 1939, she married Earl Dykman in Fremont and he preceded her in death on August 19, 1968. She is survived by 4 children: Christy (Chris) Ledeboer of Mt. Vernon, WA, Ken (Mary) Dykman of Livonia, MI, Tom (Erin) Dykman of Austin, TX, and Phil (Marilyn) Dykman of Muskegon; 16 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, June Cavender and Ellen Dykman, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Hall.
Funeral services for Minnie will be 11:00 AM Friday, March 4, 2011 at Spring Lake Christian Reformed Church with Rev. Drew Sweetman officiating. Visitation with the family will be 7-9 PM Thursday at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Spring Lake. Interment will take place in Spring Lake Township Cemetery.
