Minnie E. Wickland's Obituary
Minnie E. Wickland, age 97, went to be with her Lord and Savior and rejoined her husband, Edward Wickland, who passed away in 1966. Minnie was born in Glen Haven, MI on June 25, 1910. Her family moved to Muskegon in 1924. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters and survived by brother, William Bennett (93) of Muskegon. She is also survived by two sons, Wendel (Sharon) Wickland of Williamsville, NY and Warren (Arlene) Wickland of Muskegon. She has 4 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter. Minnie was employed in secretarial work at Sheldon’s in her young life and retired in 1975 from Continental Motors after 24 years. She attended Forest Park Covenant Church. Minnie was a big sports fan and especially followed the Detroit Pistons, Michigan Wolverines and Muskegon Big Reds. She also loved Muskegon and Lake Michigan, often saying, “Lake Michigan was never more beautiful than it is today!” And so it was on November 4, 2007. There will be a MEMORIAL SERVICE at Forest Park Covenant Church on Friday, November 9, 2007 at 10:30 AM. Memorial gifts may be directed to Hackley VNS Hospice and to Forest Park Covenant Church.
