Mother Cora B. Henderson, age 82, passed away, Sunday, December 22, 2019. She was born March 25, 1937 in Memphis, Tennessee to Sam and Mattie Jones. Mother Cora is survived by nine children: Johnnie Lee Henderson Jr., Kenneth Henderson, Shirley Lewis, Deborah (Bishop David) Wimbley, Carol (Melvin Sr.) Lane, Linda Lane, David Henderson, Marie (Robert) Beverly, Alvin (Kim) Henderson; 24 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; brother, James (Leila) Cleaves; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Sam Jones; mother and stepfather, Mattie and Andy Cleaves; husband, Bishop Johnnie Lee Henderson; son and daughters: Richard, Rita, and Sharon Henderson; granddaughter, Katrina Henderson; sister, Elsie Parks; and son-in-law, Rev. Gene Lewis. SERVICES for Mother Cora B. Henderson will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Christ Temple Apostolic Church, 412 E. Sherman Blvd., Muskegon, MI 49444, with her son-in-law, Bishop David Wimbley officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service at the church Saturday morning. Burial will take place in Mona View Cemetery.
