I just learned of Mr. Cater's passing via my PHS Class of '63 Gray Hair Mustang Facebook page. I was struggling in Algebra and Geometry and was not passing either. My parents arranged for me to be tutored and Mr. Cater came to my rescue. He did not cut me any slack; he pushed me. He was also very kind and sensitive - he was what I would call my first Mentor. To this day, I appreciate what he did for me. I went on to graduate from WMU with a degree in Biology, then an MBA and now I sell surgical equipment to neurosurgeons. All of this would not have been possible had I not had Mr. Cater as my tutor. I extend my condolences to the entire Cater family. If any of his family is available for our Class of '63 reunion in 2013, we would be glad to invite them.##imported-begin##Chuck Luley##imported-end##
