Gene will be missed by our family. We met Gene and Olive thru our son-in-law John Leister and were very blessed to have know them. They made us feel like part of their family and always opened up their home to us with love. Invites to their front yard picnics when the air show was in town were so much fun. We will always remember the joy on Gene's face everytime our grandchildren (his great grandchildren) arrived for a visit. Our family will remember him always with such fondness.##imported-begin##Joan and Ted Perez##imported-end##
How blessed I am to be a part of such a large wonderful family in the Scarbroughs. Uncle Gene has always held a very special place in my heart - never did he meet me without a huge hug and great big smile. I loved him so much!##imported-begin##Lori Wells##imported-end##

My grandfather was a wonderful man, who will be remembered for his great strength, courage, honesty, and dignity. I can remember, as a young man, all the times he was at my baseball games rooting me on. He enjoyed gambling, sports, country music, and family gatherings. He will always be in my heart.....##imported-begin##CHAD S LEISTER##imported-end##
