Dear Sharon & family,
I want you to know how much we will miss Jerry and how blessed that he has touched our lives. I want to share a few things with you. The first time I was introduced to him he was called "Pinky" being all Buzz' friends had nick names I just accepted it. I called Jerry "Pinky" for quite some time before I learned that was not really his real nick name. I learned it had something to do with a paint job that he had gotten on his bike. I also was fortunate to see a soft side of Jerry. One year right before Christmas our oldest daughter Kelli received a call from "Santa" instructing her to be a good girl and that he would be there soon. Jerry even added in the realistic touch of bells ringing in the background or maybe that was Mrs Santa ??? all I know is Buzz and I will never forget all the good times we have shared with Jerry and Sharon and we will forever miss him here in this life.

Dear Sharon and family,
I had the pleasure of doing Jerry's hair for 20 years. I loved his big bear hugs and the stories he shared of his experiences through life and his updates on his family. He spoke highly of all of you. There is one story I'd like to share with you that you might enjoy. When I had my salon in the Omni, we couldn't find where a (hot wiring) smell was coming from. One of our clients said if we called the fire dept. they would send someone out to check it out. I did just that. Next thing I knew Jerry showed up with two fire trucks and quite a few men to put out the fire. We felt quite stupid and he just said, "You guys just wanted to see me in my fireman outfit didn't you?" Luckily there were no real fires that day. All of us who were there will never forget that incident. It was quite funny. Sharon, I'm glad I finally met you and that I got to spend some time with Jerry recently. When you were outside talking to the nurse, I was trying to talk him into using the oxygen and he told me that he didn't want to get hooked on something that he didn't need.
