Mr. Jerry "A.J." Brandow's Obituary
Mr. Jerry “A.J.” Brandow, age 64, passed away early Saturday morning, October 13, 2007 surrounded by his family at his home. He was born in Ravenna on August 6, 1943 to Lee and Leah (Babcock) Brandow and was a life resident of the Muskegon area. Mr. Brandow was a veteran of the United States Army and Army Reserves. After his service to his country, he went to work as a firefighter for Muskegon Heights Fire Department. He retired as Lieutenant in 1994 after
26 ½ years of duty. Mr. Brandow was a member of the National Firefighters Association, the Fremont H.O.G. Chapter, the Region 5 A.B.A.T.E. of Michigan, and a lifetime member of the Muskegon Motorcycle Club. He was an avid race car driver and motorcycle flat track racer throughout the state. Mr. Brandow is survived by his companion, best friend and loving wife of 21 years, Sharon S. Brandow; 5 children, Scott (Tiffany) Brandow, Chad (Brenda) Brandow, Tammy (Raymond) Tompkins, Dawn (Isaac) Palomo, and David Thompson; 15 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 2 brothers, Ike (Carol) Woolf and Keith (Carole) Woolf; his mother, Leah (Melvin) Woolf and 1 sister, Rosemary (Joe) Rogalla. He was preceded in death by his father; 1 brother, Jack Brandow; 1 sister, Patsy McPheron; and his life-long friend, Bill Luczyk. VISITATION will be 4-6PM & 7-9PM on Friday, October 19, 2007 at Hot Rod Harley-Davidson (149 Shoreline Dr., Muskegon, MI 49442). A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 1PM Saturday at Hot Rod Harley-Davidson with Dr. Mark G. Campbell officiating and a luncheon to follow. A short memorial motorcycle run will be held immediately folowing the luncheon. MEMORIALS in Mr. Brandow’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
