Dear Mrs. Preston, Dan, Amy, and family, I was very sorry to hear of the passing of Maurice. I worked with him for 35 years at S.D.Warren Paper Mill. About 3 weeks ago I talked to him for the last time at Hackley Hospital, when my wife Sandy broke her ankle. It was so nice seeing him and Mrs. Preston. We talked about the good times we had working at the mill. Maurice had a great personality and was quick to laugh and smile. Especially, when I told him his wonderful Maine accent was still strong. It did not leave him even at the last. Maurice Preston was well liked and will be sadly missed by all that knew him and loved him.
