Mrs. Lucille "Cookie" Hoffman's Obituary
Mrs. Lucille “Cookie” Hoffman, age 78, went to be with her Lord and Savior, October 24, 2005. She was born in Muskegon on May 23, 1927 to John and Lucille (Walker) VanderKooi and was a life resident. Mrs. Hoffman was a member of Grand Haven Gospel Chapel where she was active in Church Bible Study. Lucille spent several years cleaning many of the area Doctors offices. Cookie loved computers, reading, gardening, watching the humming birds, collecting precious moments, singing hymns, and writing poetry. On August 21, 1946, she married Glen E. Hoffman and he preceded her in death on July 4, 2005. She is survived by 4 children, Glenn (Evva) Hoffman, Gary (Jeril) Hoffman, LueAnne (David) Bond, Cindy (Tim) Alicki; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 5 brothers, Harry (Ernestine) VanderKooi, Leo (Carolyn) VanderKooi, Lyle (Eleanor) VanderKooi, Jack (Donna) VanderKooi, John (Thelma) VanderKooi; 2 sisters, Dora Schutter, Jeri (John) Hamil and best friends, Dr. Paula Knabe and Deede Kleyn. She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Carol; 2 grandchildren, Debbie and Jonathan; her parents; 3 brothers, Don, Jim, Gerald and her sister, Ida. SERVICES will be 11AM Thursday at Grand Haven Gospel Chapel (1805 Waverly) with Rev. Ken Shady officiating. VISITATION will be 6-8PM tonight at
