I wanted to let you know how saddened I was to hear the news of Mar’s passing. Unique & truly an original is how I would try to describe Mar to someone who never had the opportunity to have known her. She always amazed me with her wit, insight & uncanny ability to read people. Even though I have been away from Bluffton for many years Mar was always my link to those childhood roots. A visit to the old neighborhood was never complete without a stop at the corner of Thompson & Edgewater. Mar, thank you for always making me feel welcome. You will forever hold a warm sweet place in my heart.

Dear Art, So sorry about the loss of your wife. I remember my mother Mina (Hilliard) Koning talking about how blessed the two of you were in your marriage and the wonderful family the two of you had. I personally could see how joyful and up you were all the time at the rec club and or the job at the old fedders company where we seen each other alot while working together.
