Nancy was a sincere and caring neighbor. I will miss sharing stories in her front yard while taking in her contagious smile.
Nancy was like the sister I never had. She was upbeat, clever, funny and intensely dedicated to her family especially her 2 grandsons. She was married to my brother & I was truly blessed to have her in my life for 32 years. Nancy was an avid reader, a prolific gardener, a highly successful doer of crossword puzzles such as those in The New Yorker and the best Blueberry Buckle baker ever. No task intimidated her. Once she decided to do something such as paint her living room, move her furniture or pressure wash the roof of her 2 story house, she'd get it done, often with very little help. Her love for her family was fierce, true and unconditional. She adored her 2 young grandsons with a passion that was unparalleled and extraordinary to behold. Without a doubt, Nancy would want all of her loved ones to carry on with their lives. And though we will, our lives, for a while, will feel less whole and definitely less bright.
Nancy and I worked together at Spring Lake Distict Library for several years. Nancy’s positive energy and enthusiasm was contagious! She cared about all people and it showed as she worked with patrons and co-workers. She spoke of her family often with great love and joy. My thoughts and prayers are with Nancy’s family.

Please know our sorrow in the passing of Nancy. As neighbors we have many happy memories of Nancy. We enjoyed many monthly road trips to different dining experiences and New Year Eve celebrations with both Rick and Nancy. Our Christmas cookie exchange, especially her pumpkin roll, will be greatly missed. She was a kind and gracious lady, as well as, a friend and neighbor.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time.
With our deepest sympathy,
Ken and Chris Lee
