Dearest Grandma,
I love you and I am with you. I feel you in my heart. Know that I am thinking of you and with you in spirit. I want you to know how grateful I am for all you have done and been for me in this life.
When I close my eyes and think of you, I see your smile and happiness.
The last couple of times I visited you from Austria: Even though you not always quite remembered who we were, you could always make us laugh so hard and you smiled and made jokes.
When I was young, you and I always wrote letters to eachother. It was such a pleasure to make you new things out of wood and other artistic things. When Mom and I visited you from Austria - you had my gifts hung up on your wall.
I remember when you lived in the tall towers made out of brick - can't remember what they are called. Elsie was your best friend, I think when I was young I loved her as much as you did.
Not being able to say 'good-bye' and attend your funeral, hurt so much inside me. You have made such a big impact on my life and I want you to know, I wished I could have been there.
There are so many other things I could comment on – so many memories – and I want you to know that they all live within me and will forever.
Life is only about the love we give and the love we receive. All else is trivial. Thank you for all the love you have given not only me but everyone in your life. If every person could share a little amount of love that you gave to another, this world would be a happy place. I hope you can feel the love I’m giving you now. We will be together in spirit… always.
Dear grandma
I'm finding all of this so difficult to say and I'm writing so much to express so little
but I love you MORE
and I'll miss you
