Fran and I were traveling in New Zealand and missed the news of Nila's passing. She was a wonderful person. I remember many times wrestling with cousins and uncles on the living room floor. And I have such fond memories of their daughter Sharon singing Connie Francis songs at their house. With Howard keeping the garden going Nila was always busy "putting up" quarts of vegetables for year around use. In recent years I talked many times by telephone with Nila and coaxed her into sharing great stories of the childhood she and my mom had on the farm in Fremont. She had a fabulous memory of the many good times, and challenging times, the Jones family had growing up. Nila and Howard were great family members and I will always remember them.
