Nila M. Noble's Obituary
Mrs. Nila M. Noble, age 92, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2016. She was born on February 11, 1923 in Fremont, MI to Carl and Pearl (Dove) Jones. Nila worked for AC Carriers for 23 years prior to retiring. She was a member of Grace Christian Reformed Church in Muskegon. Nila enjoyed cooking, sewing, reading, gardening and playing Bingo. On August 2, 1945, Nila married Howard Noble in Fremont, and they spent 69 years together before Howard preceded her in death on May 7, 2015. SURVIVORS include son-in-law, Neal Barber of Muskegon; 2 grandchildren, Deborah Gorkisch, and Heather (Chad) Bolling; 4 great grandchildren, Dean and Abby Gorkisch, and Carter and Andrew Bolling; and brother, Bob Jones. Nila was also preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Kay Barber; her parents; 2 brothers Herb and Bill; and 3 sisters, Ethel, Iola, and Edith. The FUNERAL SERVICE will be 11AM Thursday at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100 with Rev. Bernard Mulder officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 AM. Burial will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont.
