Mrs. Norma Jeanne Smith's Obituary
Mrs. Norma Jeanne Smith, age 84, passed away Friday evening, May 30, 2014, at Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence. Norma Jeanne was born May 1, 1930 in Muskegon to Ernest and Vivian (Nordgren) Waldron. Throughout the years, Norma Jeanne was employed as a secretary at Lakey Foundry, Westran Corporation, ABC Supply Company, and Age Well Services. She attended Lakeside United Methodist Church and was a 40 year member of the Viking Linne Lodge #57. Norma Jeanne was an avid gardener and green thumb expert. She enjoyed bowling and was a big football fan. She loved playing the piano and working on puzzles. Most of all, Norma Jeanne loved and was loved by her family, and is survived by her 4 children, Kenneth D. Smith of Muskegon, James L. (Cindy) Smith of Highland, MI; Richard M. (Bobbie)Smith of Newaygo, and Beth M. (Mike) Ribesky of Muskegon; 7 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Darleen Brooks. In accordance with her wishes, private family services have been held. Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
