Olive Elizabeth "Betty" Larson's Obituary
Olive Elizabeth “Betty” Larson passed away, Saturday, July 30, 2011 following a short illness. She was born in Baltimore, MD to Stafford Ray and Edna B. (Blackstone) Wallace. Following graduation from high school, Betty attended the University of Wisconsin. She married Leonard M. Larson in Baltimore on March 21, 1947 and he preceded her in death in 1992. The Larson’s moved to Muskegon in 1962. Mrs. Larson was employed for the Mona Shores Public School District for more than 25 years, first at Maple Grove Middle School, then retiring in 1991 from the North Shore Middle School. She was a member of St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church and was a former volunteer at Hackley Hospital and International Aid. Mrs. Larson is survived by her: three children, Janice (Sam Bartolotta) Larson of Rochester, NY, Philip (Debra) Larson of Norton Shores and Steven (Eloise) Larson of Weed, CA; four grandchildren, Kelly & Emily Larson and Amy & Jill Hansen; and two great-grandchildren Harper & Elijah.
