Wishing you strength and comfort during this difficult time.
I met Pamela in 2008 when I was lucky enough to be assigned to her for a "Rent-a-rower" through the Grand Valley Rowing team (we raised money for our dues by doing odd jobs). Then she kept hiring me and a friendship was born. She made elaborate 10 course meals for us and other rowers on the team. She was instrumental in my now husband and I getting together. She came to our wedding and she danced all night with the young sailors in attendance. We moved to Ann Arbor, and the last time we saw her was about 5 years ago when I was pregnant and she gave us a crib. Meeting Pamela was life changing and I'm sure there are so many people whose lives she entered, seemingly at random, and greatly improved just by genuinely caring for and investing in them. Thinking of all of you in the family, she talked about all of you often, and I'll hold you in my heart during this time.
Pamela was an aunt by blood ( my mothers baby sister) but much more than that, she was my sister, mother, mentor.
Pamela was an inspiration to us all, she was fun loving, full of life, a smiling face that brought sunshine to our dark days.
Her family were everything to her, she found time for each and every one of us/them.
We live across the other side of the 'pond' but distance did not come between us. She brought everyone together whenever it was physically possible. She kept in constant contact with us all.
My heart is broken at her loss, but I know she will carry on guiding myself, her children and grandchildren ( and all whom she was close to)
I would like to thank Midge for giving her the best life possible in her final years, we are truly blessed that we shared your company at Jamie & Lucy's wedding.
Thinking of you all at this very sad time and always.

Pamela Caspari was my cousin in law, married to the former John Caspari of St Louis, Mo and East Grand Rapids, MI. She was also my tennis partner in charity tennis comps, my life cheerleader, confidant and dinner party host. I will miss her outgoing personality as much as her delicious dinner table. I pray that God opens the gates of heaven to her and may her soul rest in eternal peace and bliss.
I have known Pamela for 45 years. I consider her not only a dear friend, but an extension of our family.
Pamela’s passion for life, love of family, and wanting to help and include others was simply unequalled. Like with so many, she was our greatest cheerleader. Pamela saw the best in people and recognized their greatest potential.
She was high spirited, selfless, and a trusted confidant.
My last time with Pamela was just last year, when she greeted me in Grand Haven, having just completed a 150 mile paddle down the Grand River. There she was cheering me on, shouting and waving, “OMG! I can’t believe it. I am so proud of you. It’s so nice to see you…!!!” She was so eager to help met get off the river, she nearly flipped me into the cold water when she reached down to pull on my kayak’s rope to bring me in and tie me to the dock. LOL.
Everything was BIG about Pamela. Her smile, laugh, auburn hair, hugs, sense of humor, intellect, energy, and generous giving.
We miss you Pamela. Love you!
